What's wrong with Barack Obama flip flopping

If you are changing your mind because of new information or new insight into a particular subject then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. However, if you are changing your mind based on opinion polls in order to get votes then it shows a lack of conviction. I fully expect that people will occasionally change positions as new information becomes available, but this is usually a rare occurrence. People gain the political moniker of "flip flopper" when they change positions often. This does not indicate any level of integrity, or belief in principle whatsoever and should always be examined with a critical eye for potential motive.
