Can i have some examples of Categoric,Discrete,Ordered and a Continuous variable! ?

Hi, i have my science module tomorrow and i have revised everything i need to know but i am baffled by these and i just wanted to know some examples and when there used in experiments as they are always on the module. Many thanks!
