What is the main reason France was against overthrowing Saddam?

Saddam owed France billions. Saddam owed lots of people. These people strongly opposed the war. But anti war weenies in America couldnt grasp that, so they bought into Bush Derangement Syndrome from the media just like they bought the Cult of Obama...the choice of a blind generation
