Is this friendship worth saving?

This has happened to me and really, honestly, I think that you should tell him to shut the **** up when he's making fun of your religion or something. Don't let him push you around. Whenever this happened to me I did that and later ended the the relationship because, for some reason friends just randomly get alienated and start bull****ing with you. Sorry but I think you've lost that guy you knew half a year ago forever.
