Influenza or what?
Sounds like you've picked up a viral buggie of some kind, likely a variation of a cold virus. Your throat is more than likely sore because with a stuffy nose you tend to be a mouth breather. Mouth breathing dries out the throat, which can make a throat scratchy, sore and generally look funny. You are just coughing up the gunk that's draining out of your nose, along with a little extra from the throat for good measure. Since you aren't running fever, and the rapid strep was negative, it's more like viral- but not influenza, no. There's not much you can do, and not much a doctor can do either. What you need at this point is something to unclog your nose and help with the odd aches/pains and such. There are any number of over the counter cold preps that will do you just fine- a decongestant would make your nose happier for sure. Otherwise, there are no miracle cures. It's the old line- rest, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Treat the symptoms that bother you the most, if you want. A virus runs the course in about a week to 10 days, shifting along faster if you rest, etc- and taking longer if you burn the candle at both ends. Being this far into it, you should look forward to starting to see daylight and health again here soon, if you rest- yada yada- you get the picture. Just a virus, and that's miserable enough, but that's what it sounds like you have.
