I like this guy...please help!! ADVICE?

okay so i like this guy, lets name him bob. ive liked him for a while, and when i told my friend, lets name her lisa, a while ago that i liked bob, lisa said she would drop hints for me, so i was uterally grateful since she is like a boy expert. so one week later i see him sittin alone waitin for periods to change and lisa talks to him and says "do you like christina???" [ill name myself christina :P] on total accident! she felt sooo bad! but anyways in an interested way he said "whos christina.. i know shes in your cl.. :)" but lisa ran away lol. so then about a week later i have to head to his cl [hes one grade ahead of me] because i was sick the other day so i couldnt take my test so i had to wait in another room.. anyways! lol.. his cl comes back to PE after 45 minutes or so and im still in there.. i dont even dare to look behind or anythin i just focus on the work im doin.. so then i hear footsteps approachin and i think its someone from my cl to come and tell me to come back, but its bob and hes like "hey christina" and i was like shocked that he knew who i was! so i said "hiii" cause i couldnt like even think :P haha. anyways he says hey to me a lot but then when our cl had to work with their cl for stations of the cross lisa was in a group with him for like one day and he told her hes known ive liked him the whole time and whats the point of datin me if hes leavin soon so i was depressed about that, so the next day he has to be in my group and i didnt like dare even talk well the first day i did but not to him but the second day i was just soooo queit so then my friend.. lets name him michael talks about how every girl hes asked out has rejected him and the girls in the grade ahead of us [btw im in 7th and hes in 8th okay lol anyways] were like "you didnt ask us out!" in a jokin way, and michael says how he doesnt want to date anyone in 8th cause then they will be leavin soon [this was recently] so then bob says "yeah you could date the person for 2 weeks then dump them" so yeah then my friend emma went up to him and he denied ever sayin that and crap.. so now he never says hi to me anymore or anythin.. so 2 weeks ago bob and other people went to the movies and my friend jack went too and he was sittin next to bob and i wasnt able to go cause i was at a diff mall =[ anyways lol my friend jack.. his gf and his gf and jack told me that he took his phone and sent me a text {and i did receive this text but i thouht it was jack playin a prank on me!} and when jack left to the bathroom his gf asked bob if he liked me and he said yes.. but im confused! idk what to do.. do you think my friends are jokin around with me??? but at the same time everyone says that he is really really shy so ill have to like wait.. but idk please give advice :D
